1. How did the, “Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988”, change legalized gambling in the United States? What do you believe were the benefits and/or consequences of the act?

2. According to the book, “a process is random if its output contains no pattern that is detectable to human observers”. It continues to mention how slot machines are not random in a technical sense, but random enough for it’s intended purpose. Do you believe it is possible for something to technically be 100% random?

3. What are the differences between theoretical probability, experimental probability, and subjective probability, can you think of an example for each that was not mentioned in the book?

4. Why do you think the American roulette wheel has two green spaces, while the European roulette wheel only has one green space?

5. What do you think lead to such different variations of poker, such as Texas Hold’em?

6. What are some ways to stretch these equations/theorems beyond their scope of use?

7. Why, after looking at the odds of winning, do people still play some of the games on the casinos?

8. What are some possible games that are to easy to win for a casino to play them?
