1. “ He hadn’t invented the system. He was just on of the lucky few smart enough to pull it off “. Why do you think so many people fail to pull off card counting, and what has made this group different so far?
2. Is it coincidental that one of the most successful counting cards groups of all time were from Ivy League schools? Did the pressure from their peers throughout their life cause them to use their smarts in this looked down upon way to make money?
3. Do you think Kevin’s parent’s “safe” approach to life caused him to become invested into taking risks?
4. Most people make money doing jobs they are good at and they are praised for it, then how come someone who makes a living off counting cards is frowned upon?
5. How important is the ability to remain calm, cool, and collected in the high stakes of gambling? How does Martinez disguise his counting so well?
