Abstract: | The Oak Ridge Science Semester is an undergraduate studyand research program based at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN.This nationally recognized fall-semester program directly involves undergraduate students in the ongoing research projects of practicing biologists, chemists, computer scientists, mathematicians, and physicists. Recent student research areas include complex biological systems, engineering, environmental science, high performance computing, physical and chemical sciences, and national security. Participating students receive academic credit in their field. To offset costs, studentsalso receive a monthly stipend and housing allowance. |
