1. Are you reading this to
try to learn evolution, or are you using your background on
evolution to read this?
2. Are there migration barriers in the oceans beside the
example in the book of Central America where the waters are
relatively close on both sides?
3. As an alternate to the formation of species on
different sides of the Earth, is it possible a species on
one side was made through hybridization?
4. If Darwin had known about the theory of continental drift
and plate tectonics, would he have supported it? Would it
have made people more willing to believe Darwin and his
theories?
5. On the basis of geographical distribution, Darwin’s Finches
became different species on the islands. If a species is
defined as the ability to reproduce and produce viable
offspring, which all of the finches could initially, why would
they differentiate in that way if their beaks were the main
point of emphasis?
6. Some species are able to evolve and become a new
species due to a geographical barrier such as a mountain
range. If this is true, why haven’t humans began to evolve
in such a way, as the oceans are much larger than a mountain
range?
