Based on the books we’ve read so far, there have been so many cases where other scientists have ruled several discoveries as inconclusive while some adamant scientists have gone ahead to prove these discoveries. Should scientists be taking the opinions of other scientists?

On page 67, Francis Crick and Bill Cochran arrived at the same solution for the Linus Pauling model which they published. Do you think Francis might have been the initial owner of the idea he fought Sir Lawrence for?
